 HIV / AIDS is a serious, yet under-addressed, and under-recognized problem in many rural, Latino communities.  Local organizations often do not have the full capacity to effectively transmit prevention messages and to address HIV / AIDS stigma with hard-to-reach populations.

 

This free hands-on training will provide staff with (1) materials and guidance for training community health outreach workers to address HIV / AIDS (2) focused coaching on developing and implementing an organizational media strategy (3) access to free technical assistance resources around community mobilization.

 

When: July 26-28 (Tuesday -Thursday) from 9 am to 5 pm 

 

(Registration deadline July 11)

 

►    Where: Charlotte, NC

 

►     Cost: This training is free to all participants

 

►     Who should attend: Outreach coordinators, program managers, those who train community health workers, those who are interested in developing community health worker programs, those who are interested in expanding their community health worker programs into HIV prevention
